Who is Jodine?

With a keen eye for raw talent and a savvy marketing instinct, no one knows Atlanta’s music scene and its influences around the world better than Jodine Dorcé. The Miami native has been discovering, branding and promoting local artists for almost a decade, ultimately catapulting underground musicians into stardom.
Dorcé has always had her finger on the pulse of what’s “hot”. Having an impressive career as a stellar marketing manager, her achievements includes developing, packaging and promoting products to Generation Y and Z for Best Buy and Toys ‘R’ Us, creating innovative trends on how to sell it to target audiences, as well as having significant success in branding Red Bull as a staple in the Atlanta cultural scene.
An avid lover of good music, the high-profiled fashionista often attends various concerts and intimate music showcases to remain an influential contributor to its landscape as it evolves, promoting some of the exceptional talents in the business. Recognizing the absence of a central artistic cultural hub where artists can expose their creative genius to their target audience, in 2001, Dorcé established the online community, Jodine’s Corner.
Jodine’s Corner is a multi-media company where Dorcé promotes music and culture through her online radio show, podcast interviews and video blogs, while catering to their target audience’s lifestyle with relevant articles that elevate their minds, balance their bodies and feeds their souls. To date, Jodine’s Corner has created a subculture whose tentacles have touched over 100,000 people.
Over the years Dorcé has successfully worked with Clear Channel and local promoters to bring Atlanta’s tastemakers to concerts featuring The Roots, Common, N.E.R.D., Raheem DeVaughn and Jill Scott. Sponsors including Martell, Hennessey, Bacardi and Smart Water expanded their brand recognition through various events using mediums such as listening parties and concerts planned by the charismatic trendsetter. Currently, the media mogul-in-the-making is expanding her company to include television and online programming, appealing to music lovers around the world.
When Dorcé is not behind the scenes meticulously orchestrating a memorable event or creating a new groundbreaking marketing plan, she can be found utilizing her magnetic persona and passion for music as an on-air personality for radio and television as well as serving as a public speaker. Whether hosting the Soul Track Music Awards in Detroit, moderating a panel discussion featuring Lamman Rucker (“Why Did I Get Married”/“Meet the Browns”) and songstress Erykah Badu at the I Got Soul Music Conference in Texas or acting as an entertainment anchor for What’s Happenin’ TV, she is always expanding her reach, embracing her community with her talent and passion.
“I want to ensure that music from the soul doesn’t become forgotten or obsolete” says Dorcé. “This new venture will expand the lifespan of soul music in the U.S., London, Amsterdam, Japan, South Africa, everywhere. Music is a tapestry unifying the global community and Jodine’s Corner is the thread.”
In short, Dorcé is a recognized visionary who uses contemporary ideas to expose the world to the interwoven tapestry of music, culture and spirit. She is simply a woman who inspires.
